When leaving Eventbrite makes financial sense
The break-even is easier to calculate than most people expect. Take your annual ticket volume, multiply by your average ticket price, and multiply that by the percentage your current platform takes. If that number approaches the license cost, ownership pays for itself inside the first year, and every year afterward is pure margin.
- You sell enough volume that percentage fees now exceed a fixed cost
- You want your brand, not a marketplace’s, in front of your attendees
- You need attendee and organizer data in your own systems
- You are running events for a client base and reselling ticketing as a service
